#ICASQUE1, the transformation of a bike… and a biker
6 min. read
The thing about custom builds is that you don’t turn an old clunker into a work of art the same way you deliver a pizza or a helmet to your favorite gear shop (lol if that’s not already the case, we hope it will be one day). That’s why, following the launch of our workshop in the spring (see article on its launch), we had to be patient, especially Vintage Driver (formerly T4RMO), YouTuber and recipient of the #ICASQUE1, as well as ourselves.
https://www.icasque.com/liveloveride/actu/naissance-du-workshop-un-trio-unique/Despite all of Alain’s goodwill, as a motorcycle artist and custom builder, transforming a very basic CB750 into a gleaming cafe racer took time. You’ll see for yourself that the base was as classic as it gets. The kind of bike you can very easily find for sale on Leboncoin.fr that can get a much more rock ’n’ roll new life!

As with any custom build, we always start by stripping the bike down before reassembling it to the owner’s taste. In this case, it was more about Vintage Driver’s wishes, as this #ICASQUE1 was custom-made based on our friend YouTuber’s recommendations. I think our mate spent a long time thinking about every part of his bike to get HIS bike.

Disassembly, drilling, cutting, welding, and handmade fabrication—the number of modifications is impressive. I’m not going to list all the changes (seat, handlebars, frame, shock absorbers, etc.), especially since I’m sure that if you visit Vintage Driver’s new YouTube channel, he’ll be happy to tell you more. I’ve included the link below; feel free to follow the adventures of this new Parisian hipster.

In any case, transforming a bike is also a human adventure that can transform a man. Let’s talk about the happy owner of the #ICASQUE1. Originally, his YouTube channel T4RMo took you into the gaming world with a Z800. A change of bike (a bit forced in his case after a theft) and we discover Vintage Driver, look and attitude completely changed, with the creation of beautiful short-film-style videos as the result. As you can see, a motorcycle can change a man!
