Bamboo Black Mat

At Roof, designing original and innovative helmets has always been a priority. With its "Bamboo Black Mat" jet helmet approved under the new ECE 22.06 standard, Roof has created the first helmet made from natural bamboo and flax fibers. It's what happens when originality and safety go green.

Used in Asia for centuries, natural fiber is renowned for its mechanical properties. Both flexible and strong, bamboo is a porous fiber that grows abundantly. Its use therefore has no impact on deforestation, making the Bamboo helmet a true example of sustainable development.

To create a helmet so refined and meticulously detailed, the fiber is woven into mats, dehydrated and preformed in molds into several pieces, which are then assembled with epoxy resin to form the shell. As each weave is different, every Bamboo helmet is a one-of-a-kind piece. The Bamboo helmet's shell showcases the unique character of its plant-based fiber.

Also available in two versions featuring the original bamboo color, "Bamboo Pure Mat Sand" and "Bamboo Pure Mat Khaki", with a central bamboo weave, the Roof Bamboo jet helmet will appeal to scooter riders who care about the environment... and their look!
