How to choose the right urban jet helmet?

When choosing a jet helmet for the city, comfort and visibilityare essential. Opt for an ECE 22.06 certified model with a large, long visor that protects down to the chin, like on the Scorpion Exo-City II. Also check for an internal sun visor, which is extremely useful when the sun is out. A removable and washable liner is great for everyday hygiene. And if you ride often, keep lightness, ventilation and practicality in mind.

And this Solid Black colorway? It’s the classic black in its purest form: no satin reflections, no matte effect, just a deep, glossy black that always makes a statement. Timeless, understated and always stylish, it suits all styles of scooters or motorcycles. It’s also a good choice if you want a helmet that makes a visual impact, with an elegant mirrored effect. Very popular with those who like a minimalist yet bold style, Solid Black requires a little more attention when it comes to maintenance — it quickly shows fingerprints and micro-scratches — but when properly cleaned, it looks amazing. In short, a true classic that never goes out of style.

To look after your Scorpion Exo-City II, it’s easy: clean the outer shell with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth and a little mild soap. Avoid harsh productsthat could damage the matte finish. The KwikWick II liner is hand-washable in warm water with mild soap. It air-dries quickly — no need (and definitely no!) dryer.

And if your helmet starts to show its age, all spare parts are available on iCasque.com:

• Liner (top + cheek pads): replace to maintain a good fit and keep things hygienically clean, especially if you ride often.
• Main visor: handy if you want a brand-new visor or a different tint (depending on compatibility).
• Internal sun visor: replaceable if scratched or worn.
• Mounting kit: perfect if your visor starts to pivot or lock less smoothly.

Everything is easy to take apart without any special tools, allowing you to make your helmet last longer while maintaining maximum comfort.
